Overview
My internship was about improving my artistic skills. I chose this as my internship because I wanted to learn how to express my feelings and thoughts more. I hope to accomplish a peace of mind by drawing and being a figure of influence for others who struggle to express their own feelings. This internship involved drawing multiple times a day per day and researching references to learn from. It also requires a sense of devotion to this sort of self improvement for others.

I drew a fan-art of a long brown haired man for my 18th birthday since he resembles my personality. This was the first time that I drew something that was realistic (or at least, I think it looks realistic).

For a story I've been writing, I drew a young man that mostly wears red with brown hair that is similar to mine and an asylum style trench coat.

Because I am a fan of a certain anime series, I drew fan-art of the main character who is also myself dressed up as him using references to remember what to draw him with such as lighting and facial structure.

As for my first comic anniversary, I drew my face and applied shading along the eyes, and for the hair I made it as realistic as possible so that it could resemble me. It turned out looking semi-realistic instead.

Since Christmas was coming up, I decided to do something new. Instead of drawing based off of memory, I tried tracing for the first time which was difficult since I was tracing off of my mom's laptop screen. I traced my favorite anime character which turned out amazingly despite the fact that I used a laptop screen to trace off of.

Closing Remarks
I absolutely enjoyed the experience of having self-taught myself to improve my artistic skills. I found it fascinating that over a short course of time, my art has gotten to the point where I can draw semi-realistic style. The biggest challenge I had with this internship was balancing my time to have the opportunity to draw as I had other things in my life I had to take care (e.g. school, home chores, and etc.). I learned from my experiences to manage my time and improve my art skills while contemplating on what these actions could do in the future. I intend and use this skills to teach or influence other people how to come to a peace of mind by expressing their feelings through any form of art.
